Today letter art is hotter than ever. In the past, using letter art was relegated to children's rooms most of the time, but today it can be used in any room in the home!
Inspiring Quotes: Many designers want their spaces to inspire the homeowner. What better way to inspire than by using letter art with some inspiring quotes to start the day off right? You can find artwork with quotes from inspirational leaders, or go with a spiritual quote if your homeowner leans that direction. It's up to you, but using an inspirational quote can add flair to any space.
Personalized Letter Art: A recent trend has photographers taking photos of objects that resemble letters, and piecing them together to make a word. One photographer I interviewed recently goes to college campuses for her shoots, then makes artwork with the university name from the photos she takes. Alumni love her work and she sells them all over the country. The same trick could be used by DIY types to create an image with the family's last name. Expecting parents could do the same with the baby's name. The possibilities are endless!
Letters as Graphic Art: You don't have to make it personal at all if you so choose. Instead, you can simply find a letter whose shape you like and create a large graphic design using just one letter. Recently, I took a large canvas and simply painted the letter "Q" on it to install in a room design. It really stands for nothing in particular, but the homeowner loved it! The room had an overabundance of straight lines, so the circular shape of the "Q" added some softness while instantly adding a conversation piece.
