Welcome to this article that covers assembly for Midwest Furnishings Country Manor platform beds. These beds are made in America and are available in many domestic hardwoods. In this article we're going to take a look at the steps to assemble one of these beds. Assembly may be very similar to other brands of beds out there, so you may be able to use these instructions for your bed as well.
Step 1
Make sure you have all of the parts. You'll have a headboard, footboard, two rails, 12 slats and a center support. Also note that you have wood screws. You'll need a Phillips screwdriver and a rubber mallet.
Step 2
Connect your rails to the headboard and footboard. The rails have circular metal points that slide into grooved metal brackets with holes in them for the round metal pieces on the rails. Slide these over each other and use your rubber mallet to tap them down secure.
Step 3
Take your 12 slats and install them into the bed. This is pretty easy as the manufacturer has pre-routed slots that the slats fit into, making it very easy. Do this for each slat. Note that a few slats will have pre-drilled holes. Place these towards the center.
Step 4
Install the center support. It rests beneath the slats and you'll use the provided wood screws to connect it to the slats. These slats are also secured to the side rails with provided wood screws. Go ahead and complete this now.
Step 5
Enjoy! Your new bed is now ready for use. Place your mattress and pillows on it and begin enjoying a great night's sleep!
